Travel Respiratory Therapist - NICU RT
American Traveler is seeking a Respiratory Therapist (RRT) with NICU and adult critical care experience for a night shift position at a Level II Trauma Center, with rotation across NICU, adult ICU, ED, and pediatric units.Job Details• Short-term acute care hospital setting with 431 staffed beds at a Level II Trauma Center,• Rotational position covering NICU, adult ICU/stepdown, emergency department (ED), and pediatric unit - this is not a NICU-only assignment,• NICU assignments vary based on patient acuity,• Night shift: 3x12-hour shifts, 19:00-07:30,• Every other weekend required, plus every other holiday,• Potential for mandatory on-call, up to 2 shifts per month,• Floating within scope of practice required to meet facility needs,• Block scheduling may be accommodated at manager's discretion,• Charting via Epic,• Wine-colored scrubs required,Job Requirements• Current BLS and CRTT certifications required,• ACLS required; candidates may begin the assignment with ACLS pending, provided it is obtained within 90 days of start date,• Virginia (VA) state license required if applicable,• Minimum 2 years of respiratory therapy experience,• Adult critical care, emergency department, and community hospital experience required,• Proficiency in airway management, medication administration, ABG draw and analysis, O2 therapy, suctioning, pulmonary toileting, BiPAP, CPAP, and nebulizer therapy,• Ability to provide aerosol, bronchial hygiene, and lung inflation therapies on night shift,• 2 professional references from a supervisor within the past 2 years required for consideration,• Full 7-year work history with all gaps explained required for consideration,Additional Information• NRP certification preferred,• RRT credential preferred,• NICU, ED, and adult ICU experience preferred; experience in all areas is not required,• Level 2 trauma center experience preferred,• First-time travelers are welcome to apply,• Local candidates are accepted,• Time-off requests are accommodated at manager's discretion,• Attendance at monthly department meetings is expected when scheduled; if not working, candidates must review meeting minutes and send written acknowledgment to management,• All scheduling and time-off requests must be disclosed at the time of initial submission
