Maintenance Technician

This position is responsible for ensuring production Up Time. Ensure scheduled maintenance and repairs are completed in a thorough, safe, and timely manner. Complete all work orders as set forth by the maintenance software program and/or verbal or written communication presented by maintenance management.The essential job functions include, but are not limited to:Perform mechanical and/or electrical repairs to equipment and machinery as needed. Includes both low and high electrical voltage.Perform preventive maintenance as needed, and as outlined in work order.Perform electrical and/or mechanical and building installs as required and outlined.Perform metal fabrication as required.Work out of aerial lifts as needed.Perform general maintenance of buildings and outside areas.Perform all work in a timely, safe and workmanlike manner.EducationHigh school diploma or equivalentExperience3 years -5 years minimum of hands-on with heavy industrial maintenance experience, with mechanical and electrical equipment.General mathematic ability.Ability to read, write, and comprehend simple to complex instructions, short correspondence, and memos.Ability to exercise initiative, judgment, and decision-making objectives.Ability to perform basic math functions including addition, subtraction, multiplication, division including understanding fractions and percentages.Ability to read, write, and comprehend simple written and verbal instructions.Ability to understand, perform, and retain various job related training, operational, and safety procedures.Ability to operate overhead cranes, fork lift trucks, and other equipment following proper procedures.Ability to operate various hand tools.
