This position is designed for an educator who is passionate about meeting students where they are and helping them find meaningful pathways to success.This role includes working with students across a variety of settings, which may include virtual learning, credit recovery, and in-person alternative education support. The ideal candidate thrives in non-traditional environments and is committed to building strong relationships with students who may require additional academic, social, and/or emotional support.Key Responsibilities May IncludeSupporting students in online and blended learning environments, including credit recovery programsMonitoring student progress and providing targeted academic supportBuilding strong, trusting relationships with students to increase engagement and persistenceBuilding strong, trusting relationships with families to support engagement and maintain consistent communication around student progressCollaborating with school counselors, administrators, and teachers to develop individualized plans for student successProviding in-person support for students requiring alternative or flexible educational programmingMaintaining accurate records and communicating regularly with stakeholdersThe Ideal Candidate WillDemonstrate a strong commitment to student-centered practices and personalized learningBe flexible, adaptable, and solutions-orientedHave experience working with at-risk or disengaged learners (preferred)Possess strong communication and relationship-building skillsBe comfortable leveraging technology to support student learningHold (or be eligible for) appropriate Maine teaching certificationThis is an exciting opportunity for a teacher to be part of a growing, innovative approach to supporting students through flexible and responsive programming.
