Implementation Consultant (Data Mapping)

This is a long term, remote contract opportunity. Candidates MUST be local to the United States. The role is NOT open to C2C/Visa, or OPT consideration. No vendor support of any kind allowed.Position SummaryWe are seeking an experienced Implementation Consultant with deep expertise in complex data mapping, data conversions, and client-facing implementations within financial services environments. This role will focus heavily on analyzing and standardizing data specifications from multiple vendors, developing and validating mapping logic, and supporting conversion and implementation initiatives for financial institutions.The ideal candidate combines strong analytical and communication skills with hands-on experience reviewing and validating Python-based transformation logic and leveraging AI tools such as Claude, GPT, and Copilot to accelerate data analysis, mapping, and scripting activities.This is a highly collaborative, consultative role that works closely with clients, project managers, engineering teams, operations, networking, and customer success teams to ensure successful project delivery and seamless customer implementations.Key ResponsibilitiesServe as a subject matter expert for data mapping, conversion processes, and implementation methodologies.Analyze and map complex data specifications from third-party vendors into standardized internal formats and conversion models.Design and develop new mapping logic for customer/account conversions, payment integrations, cash management systems, wire transfers, bill pay migrations, and core banking conversions.Act as the primary liaison between clients, financial institutions, and internal technical teams during implementations, upgrades, and conversion projects.Partner with clients to gather business and technical requirements for implementations, integrations, and software enhancements.Utilize AI tools such as Claude, GPT, and Copilot to accelerate data mapping analysis, transformation logic development, and Python script generation.Review, validate, QA, and troubleshoot AI-generated outputs, scripts, and transformation logic to ensure accuracy and production readiness.Assist with Python-based data conversion and transformation activities, including reading, understanding, and validating existing scripts and logic.Coordinate implementation activities including project planning, issue resolution, testing schedules, technical walkthroughs, and cross-functional review sessions.Collaborate closely with Networking, Operations, Application Support, Engineering, and Customer Success teams to ensure successful implementation delivery.Support system validation activities, file format specification updates, test script creation, production support, and test environment monitoring.Lead and facilitate technical discussions with clients and internal stakeholders while maintaining a polished and professional customer experience.Required Qualifications5+ years of experience in implementation consulting, data conversions, data mapping, or related technical consulting roles.Proven expertise in complex data mapping and transformation logic design.Experience working in banking, fintech, payments, treasury management, or financial software environments.Experience supporting financial services implementations such as:Core banking conversionsCustomer/account conversionsPayment integrationsCash management platformsWire processingBill pay migrationsStrong understanding of data conversion methodologies, file specifications, and transformation workflows.Working knowledge of Python, including the ability to read, interpret, troubleshoot, and validate scripts and transformation logic.This is not a software developer role; however, strong technical fluency is required.Experience leveraging AI tools (Claude, GPT, Copilot, etc.) for technical analysis, mapping assistance, script generation, and workflow acceleration.Strong understanding of AI prompting best practices and the ability to critically review and QA AI-generated outputs.Exceptional communication and client-facing consulting skills with the ability to work directly with financial institution stakeholders.Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in fast-paced implementation environments.Preferred QualificationsExperience supporting enterprise software implementations and large-scale conversion projects.Familiarity with API integrations, flat files, CSV/XML/JSON data structures, and financial transaction processing.Prior experience collaborating with engineering and product teams in Agile or cross-functional environments.
