Senior Strategic Sourcing Lead
Corporate Procurement ManagerThis role manages and supports corporate-wide purchasing and supply chain activities, focusing on indirect materials and services (such as IT, HR services, MRO, capital equipment, software, travel programs, and contract services). The role acts as a key link between suppliers, business units, and corporate finance/supply chain teams.They are responsible for sourcing, negotiating, and managing suppliers for assigned commodity groups, ensuring the company gets the best value, quality, and reliability while staying compliant with company policies and contracts.Key Responsibilities (What They Do Day-to-Day)Data & AnalysisGather and analyze purchasing, pricing, and supplier performance dataTrack market and price trends to set buying and negotiation strategiesEvaluate cost feasibility and establish price objectivesProcurement & SourcingSource indirect materials and services (IT/HR subcontractors, equipment, tools, software, MRO, packaging, vehicles, travel programs, etc.)Prepare and issue RFPs/RFQs, review proposals, and award purchase ordersDevelop new suppliers based on price, quality, and on time deliverySupplier & Contract ManagementNegotiate contracts and pricing, often at a global or enterprise levelAct as the primary relationship manager for assigned suppliersMonitor supplier performance and resolve cost, quality, or delivery issuesEnsure supplier and purchasing compliance with company policiesInternal Support & CollaborationSupport corporate, business unit, and site-level procurement needsPartner with Supply Chain, Finance, and Operations teams across locationsProvide management with insights, reporting, and purchasing recommendationsGovernance & AdministrationApprove payments, maintain procurement records, and support auditsEnsure contracts and purchases align with corporate policies and objectivesStrategic ImpactContribute to procurement strategy and long-term cost-reduction initiativesInfluence organizational sourcing decisions and purchasing objectivesRepresent the company on significant contracts and projects, including work with senior stakeholdersCommunication & PlanningCommunicate professionally with suppliers and internal stakeholders at all levelsPlan and manage their own workload and timelinesSolve complex procurement problems using policy, precedent, and judgmentTravelTravel occasionally (up to ~25%) to support supplier meetings, negotiations, or site needsThis person is a procurement professional who:Buys and negotiates indirect goods and servicesManages supplier relationships and contractsAnalyzes costs and market trendsSupports multiple business units in a centralized corporate environmentEnsures compliance, value, and reliability across the supply baseRequired Experience:3+ years of related experienceSupply Chain, Business, or a related field and bachelor's degree preferredRequired skills:Strong aptitude for negotiations including some significant demonstrated successKnowledge of Contract Law and other Procurement regulationsAbility to assess internal risks of designs or processes that limit supply optionsExcellent communication skills, verbal and writtenComputer skills: word documents, excel and power pointSAP experience highly desirableAttention to detailsCost savings driven and understanding of impact to the bottom lineCost-analysis skills and understanding of market driversAbility to multitask, manage time effectivelyOut of the box thinkingGoal DrivenSense of Urgency"Hands-on" styleExperience with managing suppliers based in the Americas, Europe and Asia is preferred
