Plant Contract Inspector

Plant Contract Inspector Job Description: We are seeking a diligent and experienced Plant Contract Inspector to ensure the quality and safety of outside plant installations in the telecommunications industry. The ideal candidate will possess a combination of technical expertise, physical capability, and a commitment to safety practices. Responsibilities and Duties Conduct inspections of outside plant installations to ensure compliance with company standards and industry regulations. Evaluate contractor workmanship and adherence to specifications during installation and maintenance activities. Document inspection findings accurately and thoroughly, including any deviations or deficiencies observed. Communicate effectively with contractors and internal teams to address issues and facilitate corrective actions. Monitor and enforce safety protocols to minimize risks of accidents and injuries in the workplace. Perform physical tasks associated with the inspection process, including lifting objects up to 50 lbs. Maintain a high level of professionalism and represent the company positively while interacting with contractors and other stakeholders. Provide feedback and recommendations for process improvements based on inspection observations and industry best practices. Qualifications and Skills Ability to lift objects weighing up to 50 lbs. Knowledge of telephone outside plant environment, including fiber optic and copper cable installations. Commitment to practicing safe working practices and promoting a culture of safety. Possession of a reliable vehicle in good working order for transportation to inspection sites. Willingness to undergo a background check and drug screening as part of the application process. Previous experience as a retired AT&T or BellSouth employee or contractor, with familiarity with company standards and procedures. (Preferred)
