Wastewater Treatment Plant Field OperatorThis role is responsible for maintaining and operating wastewater treatment facilities and equipment.ResponsibilitiesConduct sampling and testing of wastewaterPerform routine system equipment and performance to ensure that pumps, conveyors, blowers, chlorinators, vacuum equipment and other wastewater treatment equipment are functioning properlyDocument and record operational dataCheck and adjust controls and equipment as necessary as well as assist with repairsPerform routine laboratory analysis and interpret data through application of mathematical calculationsOversee delivery and off-loading of chemicals as well as overseeing chemical inventoryAssist with maintaining equipment in a clean and operable condition.Assist with the development of standard operating procedures.Work EnvironmentLocation: Kings LandingWork Schedule: Variable 12-hour shiftsSetting: Wastewater treatment facilityTravel: Limited travel within the Eastman Kodak park grounds, as required.Physical RequirementsWhile performing duties of job, incumbent is occasionally required to bend, lift, walk, or carry equipment. Employees must occasionally lift and or move up to 50 pounds.ExperienceAbility to follow procedures, work instructions and safety/environmental rules and regulationsAbility to work on a team and learn enough processes to become more independentProficient in MS officeQualificationsAbility to work a rotating shift scheduleValid, unencumbered driver's license and required insuranceKnowledge of wastewater plant functionalityExperience in wastewater treatment systems and operations strongly preferredKnowledge of wastewater regulatory programsKnowledge of regulatory reporting requirements and systemsEducationHigh school diploma/GED; wastewater treatment systems operator certification preferredCompensationAs required by multiple state pay transparency laws, RED-Rochester provides a reasonable range of compensation for each job posting. Actual compensation is influenced by an array of factors including, but not limited to, skill set, level of experience, and specific office location. The range of starting pay for this role is $20.00 to $24.00 per hour.
