Materials Coordinator
OverviewWe are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Materials Coordinator to join our team at SIDUS Solutions!In this role, you will manage the flow of materials that keep production running smoothly—from purchasing and inventory control to production support and supplier coordination. You'll work closely with our Materials Manager to ensure materials are available, accurate, and aligned with production needs. This is a hands-on role in an environment where your ability to stay organized, solve problems, and work across teams will directly support operational success.Duties & Essential FunctionsManage day-to-day inventory activities including receiving, stocking, issuing, kitting, shipping, and cycle countsMaintain accurate inventory records within ERP/MRP systems and ensure data integritySupport production scheduling by tracking kits, monitoring shortages, and helping maintain build readinessCoordinate with suppliers to ensure timely delivery, quality expectations, and issue resolutionMonitor material flow and communicate status updates related to production and RMA ordersSupport purchasing activities including obtaining quotes, placing orders, and assisting with vendor follow-upAssist with BOM maintenance and support ECO/ECR processes to ensure changes are accurately reflected in productionPrepare and track shipping documentation for inbound and outbound materialsParticipate in inventory reporting, audits, and continuous improvement effortsSupport administrative and operational tasks as needed to keep workflows running efficientlyQualifications & Requirements2+ years of experience in manufacturing, inventory control, purchasing, or supply chain supportWorking knowledge of inventory management and production environmentsExperience using ERP/MRP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Fishbowl, or similar)Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple prioritiesComfortable working with data to track inventory, identify issues, and support reportingUnderstanding of BOMs, production workflows, and material planning conceptsStrong communication skills for working with internal teams and external suppliersProficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word)Ability to work in a structured, fast-paced environment with shifting prioritiesPhysical Demands and Work EnvironmentThis role is performed in a small business manufacturing and office environment. The position requires occasional physical activity including lifting up to 30 lbs.
