EPS Engineering Lead

Hi,We are currently looking for an EPS (Enterprise Payment System) Engineering Lead opportunity focused on enterprise payment services architecture, delivery, and operational ownership.Details:- Duration: 12-month Contract-to-Hire- Conversion: This role will convert to a full-time employee (FTE) role after 12 months- Location Preference:1st preference: Onsite in Sacramento, CA2nd preference: Onsite in SF Bay AreaCandidates will be reviewed in that order- Note: Candidates from other parts of the country are acceptable if they are willing to permanently relocate, as this is intended to become an FTE role after 12 months- Rate: DOE - competitive rates; please provide best ratesKey Responsibilities:- Own EPS roadmap, architecture, and delivery across payment, reconciliation, exception handling, and downstream integrations- Establish reliability, auditability, and production governance standards- Partner with Product, Finance, SRE, and Operations teams on prioritization and readiness- Lead engineers and contractors while driving transition toward internal ownershipRequirements:- 10+ years of software engineering experience- Strong background in microservices, APIs, event-driven architecture, and production engineering- Experience in payments, settlements, reconciliation, or related financial systems - RETAIL EXPERIENCE- Must have at least 3 years in a Lead or Engineering Management role- Strong core Java skillsPlease send qualified resumes along with:- Current location- Work authorization status- Availability
