About the RoleFuzeHR Solutions is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Project Electrical Engineer to support the commissioning, testing, and troubleshooting of complex electrical systems, primarily within mission critical and data center environments. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical knowledge of electrical system design, construction, and commissioning processes, along with the ability to work independently and collaboratively in fast-paced project environments. This role is responsible for executing field commissioning activities, maintaining project documentation, supporting senior engineering staff, and assisting in the development of junior engineers. The successful candidate will demonstrate excellent organizational skills, technical competency, and a strong commitment to safety and client service. Payrate $130KJob DutiesPerform commissioning activities for electrical distribution systems and associated controls, including medium voltage systems within mission critical facilities and data centers.Review electrical system designs to ensure compliance with client objectives, operational requirements, and industry standards.Assist in developing commissioning plans, procedures, and project schedules.Execute commissioning activities throughout all project phases, including design review, construction, testing, startup, and occupancy.Attend factory witness testing and document procedures, findings, and test results.Conduct functional performance testing using specialized electrical test instrumentation.Accurately document field activities, deficiencies, observations, and test results using company templates and digital reporting tools.Analyze system performance and provide technical recommendations to resolve issues and improve reliability.Coordinate with project teams, contractors, vendors, and clients to support successful project execution.Review commissioning documentation and assist with maintaining daily commissioning reports.Provide technical guidance and mentorship to Associate Project Engineers.Respond to client and project inquiries professionally and promptly.Ensure compliance with all company, client, and project safety standards and procedures.QualificationsStrong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities with minimal supervision.Working knowledge of ASHRAE and/or BCxA commissioning guidelines preferred.Familiarity with NETA testing specifications and procedures.Understanding of Building Management Systems (BMS) and Electrical Power Monitoring Systems (EPMS).Strong understanding and practical application of electrical test instrumentation.Team-oriented mindset with strong customer service and client relationship skills.Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering preferred.Minimum of 2+ years of mission critical project experience in electrical commissioning, OR4+ years of relevant commissioning or electrical systems experience in mission critical environments.Data center or mission critical facility commissioning experience strongly preferred.Experience with distributed control systems is a plus.Preferred ExperienceGeneratorsGenerator Paralleling SwitchgearHigh, Medium, and Low Voltage TransformersUPS (Uninterruptible Power Supply) SystemsBattery SystemsMedium and Low Voltage SwitchgearMain Switchboards (MSB)PLC ControlsAutomatic and Semi-Automatic Transfer ControlsElectrical Power Monitoring Systems (EPMS)Automatic Transfer Switches (ATS)Static Transfer Switches (STS)Power Distribution Units (PDU)Busway SystemsRemote Power Panels (RPP)Grounding SystemsLighting Control SystemsProfessional Engineer (PE) license and/or commissioning certifications a plus, not required.Schedule & TravelNationwide travel required approximately 50%–75%, depending on project assignments.Extended travel periods may be required for certain projects.Most travel will be local to TexasCompensation & BenefitsDirect Hire OpportunityMedical, dental, and vision insuranceLife insurance and savings account options401(k) with employer-sponsored contributionsTuition reimbursementPaid volunteer opportunitiesFlexible paid time off11 paid holidays annuallySick leave benefitsAnnual performance bonus eligibility up to 10%Why Work with Fuze HR?At Fuze HR, we connect talented professionals with some of the top companies in the U.S. We offer weekly pay via direct deposit, a supportive office team, and a genuine commitment to your success.
