Job Title: Construction InspectorLocation: Akron, OhioOverviewWe are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Construction Inspector to join our growing team in Akron, Ohio. This role is responsible for ensuring that construction projects are completed in accordance with plans, specifications, and applicable regulations while maintaining the highest standards of quality and safety.Key ResponsibilitiesPerform daily on-site inspections of construction activities to ensure compliance with project plans and specificationsMonitor contractor work for quality assurance and adherence to scheduleDocument construction progress through reports, photographs, and field notesCoordinate with engineers, contractors, and project managers to address field issuesReview materials and workmanship to verify compliance with standardsMaintain accurate project records, including daily logs and inspection reportsEnsure adherence to safety standards and regulatory requirementsAssist with measurements, quantity tracking, and project documentationQualificationsHigh school diploma or equivalent required; associate or bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field preferred2+ years of construction inspection experience (transportation, municipal, or site development preferred)Familiarity with construction plans, specifications, and standard proceduresStrong attention to detail and organizational skillsAbility to read and interpret engineering drawingsEffective communication and interpersonal skillsProficiency with Microsoft Office and basic reporting toolsValid driver's license and ability to travel to job sitesPreferred CertificationsNICET Certification (or ability to obtain)ODOT or other relevant state inspection certificationsOSHA 10 or OSHA 30Why Join UsCompetitive compensation and benefits packageOpportunities for professional growth and certification supportCollaborative team environmentVariety of projects across infrastructure and site development
