Job SummaryWe are seeking a skilled and motivated Java Developer to join our remote engineering team. The ideal candidate will design, develop, test, and maintain high-performance Java applications while collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable and secure software solutions.Key ResponsibilitiesDesign, develop, test, and maintain Java-based applications and servicesWrite clean, efficient, and well-documented code following industry best practicesDevelop RESTful APIs and integrate with third-party services and databasesCollaborate with product managers, business analysts, QA engineers, and DevOps teamsTroubleshoot, debug, and resolve application issues and performance bottlenecksParticipate in code reviews and contribute to software architecture decisionsOptimize application performance, scalability, and securityDevelop and maintain unit, integration, and automated testsSupport CI/CD pipelines and deployment processesStay current with emerging Java technologies and development best practicesRequired Skills & QualificationsBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field2–5 years of experience in Java application developmentStrong proficiency in Java 8/11/17 and object-oriented programming principlesExperience with Spring Boot, Spring MVC, Spring Data, and Hibernate/JPAKnowledge of RESTful APIs, Microservices architecture, and JSON/XMLExperience with relational databases such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle, or SQL ServerFamiliarity with version control systems such as GitUnderstanding of Maven or Gradle, unit testing frameworks (JUnit, Mockito), and Agile methodologiesStrong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skillsAbility to work independently in a remote environmentPreferred QualificationsExperience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform (GCP)Knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes, Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or other CI/CD toolsFamiliarity with messaging technologies such as Kafka, RabbitMQ, or ActiveMQExperience with NoSQL databases such as MongoDB or RedisJava certifications such as Oracle Certified Professional (OCP) are a plus
