Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Java Developer to join our remote engineering team. The ideal candidate will design, develop, test, and maintain high-performance Java applications while collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable and secure software solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, test, and maintain Java-based applications and services
- Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code following industry best practices
- Develop RESTful APIs and integrate with third-party services and databases
- Collaborate with product managers, business analysts, QA engineers, and DevOps teams
- Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve application issues and performance bottlenecks
- Participate in code reviews and contribute to software architecture decisions
- Optimize application performance, scalability, and security
- Develop and maintain unit, integration, and automated tests
- Support CI/CD pipelines and deployment processes
- Stay current with emerging Java technologies and development best practices
- Required Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field2–5 years of experience in Java application development
- Strong proficiency in Java 8/11/17 and object-oriented programming principles
- Experience with Spring Boot, Spring MVC, Spring Data, and Hibernate/JPAKnowledge of RESTful APIs, Microservices architecture, and JSON/XMLExperience with relational databases such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle, or SQL Server
- Familiarity with version control systems such as GitUnderstanding of Maven or Gradle, unit testing frameworks (JUnit, Mockito), and Agile methodologies
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
- Knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes, Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or other CI/CD tools
- Familiarity with messaging technologies such as Kafka, RabbitMQ, or ActiveMQExperience with NoSQL databases such as MongoDB or RedisJava certifications such as Oracle Certified Professional (OCP) are a plus
