Security Engineer

Job Description:We are seeking a skilled CISSP Security Professional to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the security of our organization's information systems and data. You will work closely with IT and security teams to implement and manage security measures, assess risks, and respond to security incidents.Key Responsibilities:Develop, implement, and manage security policies, procedures, and standards.Perform regular security assessments and audits to identify vulnerabilities and risks.Monitor and analyze security alerts and incidents, responding promptly to security breaches.Collaborate with IT teams to ensure the security of network infrastructure, applications, and data.Provide guidance on security best practices and compliance requirements.Conduct risk assessments and recommend appropriate security controls and measures.Stay updated on the latest security threats, trends, and technologies.Ensure compliance with industry regulations and standards.Lead security awareness training and education for employees.Prepare and present reports on security posture and incidents to management.Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field (or equivalent experience).5+ years of experience in information security, risk management, and compliance.CISSP (Certified Information Systems Security Professional) certification is required.Knowledge data privacy and security regulations (GDPR, CCPA, HIPAA, SOX, ISO 27001 etc.)Strong knowledge of security frameworks, standards, and best practices.Experience with security tools and technologies, such as firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and encryption.Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.Strong communication and interpersonal skills.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.Nice to haves:Experience with AWS Cloud Services (DevOps) strongly preferred. Additional security certifications, such as CISM, CEH, or CompTIA Security+.Experience with cloud security and security in hybrid environments.Knowledge of security regulations and compliance requirements specific to the industry.
