Crane Technician

Job Description Butterfly Staffing is supporting a growing service provider in the lifting equipment space seeking a hands-on Crane Technician. This is a great opportunity for someone with strong electrical and mechanical troubleshooting experience who is open to learning crane systems. Direct crane experience is a plus, but not required. The company will train the right person.ResponsibilitiesPerform maintenance, inspections, and troubleshooting on various crane types(Overhead, Tower, Port, Pick & Carry)Diagnose and repair electrical and mechanical issuesRead and interpret electrical and mechanical schematicsReplace or repair components as needed to keep equipment operationalWork safely at heights (20+ feet)Document service and maintenance work performedCommunicate effectively with team and customers in the fieldSchedule & Work EnvironmentStandard schedule is Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PMThis role requires 24/7 on-call availability for service needsTechnicians may be called out for evening, overnight, or weekend repairs as neededOpportunity for overtime (up to ~15–20 hours/week depending on workload)Example: occasional weekend service calls (e.g., ~4 hours on a Saturday)Equipment & Travel Company vehicle/truck provided for certain roles or assignmentsPer diem offered for travel assignments, where applicableOvertime available and paid for after-hours and call-out workQualifications2–5 years of experience in industrial electrical and/or mechanical troubleshootingAbility to read electrical diagrams and mechanical drawingsComfortable working at heightsValid driver's licenseStrong work ethic, reliability, and integrityTeam-oriented with good communication skillsNice to Have (Not Required)Experience working on cranes or lifting equipmentBackground in industrial maintenance, heavy equipment, or field serviceFamiliarity with hydraulics, motors, controls, or VFDsAbout the CompanyEstablished service provider supporting crane and lifting equipment across the U.S. and internationally. Known for high-quality European equipment partnerships and strong field service support, including inspections, maintenance, and parts.
