Company DescriptionEchelon is a sports marketing and experiential agency working with global brands and sports properties. We support sponsorship strategy, partnership management, experiential marketing, and corporate hospitality for clients across professional sports and major events, including NFL programming, Premier League activations, and national conferences.The RoleWe are hiring a Sports Sponsorship and Events Intern to support live client work across sponsorship, events, and operations. This is a hands-on role with real responsibilities from day one.You will work directly on client deliverables, join internal and client calls, and contribute to active projects across multiple accounts.This role is intended for juniors, seniors, or graduate students seeking applied experience in sports marketing and event management.What You'll DoResearch & IntelligenceSource and evaluate vendors, venues, and partners for client activationsBuild competitor benchmarks, audience profiles, and platform trend reportsDeliver findings in structured formats ready for client presentationClient OperationsOwn a specific workstream on at least one active client accountJoin one client call per week and distribute internal recaps with action itemsTrack budgets, receipt logs, and deliverable timelines in shared project management toolsSponsorship & StrategySupport sponsorship valuation research and competitive landscape analysisAssist with partnership asset management and client fulfillment trackingBuild sponsorship decks, briefing documents, and activation summaries for client presentationsEvents & ExperientialHost and support sourcing and logistics for client events, hospitality, and activationsCoordinate vendors, materials, and on-site communicationsAssist with post-event reporting and debrief documentationWhat You'll LearnInterns participate in structured learning sessions led by senior team members. Topics include sponsorship strategy, event production, hospitality operations, marketing tools, and case studies from live client work.What We're Looking ForMust-haves:Junior, senior, or graduate student in sports management, marketing, communications, business, or related fieldStrong writing skills for emails, briefs, recaps, presentations, and client deliverablesProficiency in Microsoft Office and basic project management toolsDetail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple deadlines simultaneouslyInterest in sports, entertainment, or brand marketingProactive communicator who takes ownership without waiting to be askedAbility to work on weekends and holidays as needed to cover in-person eventsStrong differentiators:Experience in events, hospitality, or live sports environmentsSpanish language skillsExposure to sponsorship, brand partnerships, or marketing strategyFamiliarity with paid media platforms (Meta, Google, TikTok)Position DetailsCommitment: Up to 25 hours/week (two full days + 4 hrs for calls and projects)Flexible scheduling for class conflictsHybrid: remote-first with occasional in-person requirements for events and activationsPreferred applicants based in the Greater New York City areaHow to ApplyIf interested in applying, send your resume to sarah.brooks@teamechelon.com.
