Our work spans erosion control, stormwater management, and regulatory compliance with an emphasis on EPA and TCEQ requirements across complex construction and industrial operations. We partner with general contractors, developers, and owner-operators on some of the largest active project sites in Texas — and we hold ourselves to a standard that keeps our clients ahead of regulatory risk at every phase of construction.Role ResponsibilitiesThe Director of Environmental Compliance will serve as SEG's primary authority on federal and Texas environmental regulatory matters. Core responsibilities include:Authoring and managing environmental plans including SWPPPs, SPCC plans, BMPs, and post-construction stormwater management plansInterpreting and applying applicable regulations — EPA 40 CFR Part 112, the Construction General Permit, Clean Water Act, RCRA, CAA — and ensuring ongoing TCEQ complianceDeveloping and delivering compliance training programs for field crews, project managers, and administrative staffProviding embedded compliance support to project management teams on active construction sitesServing as the primary point of contact for EPA, TCEQ, and client regulatory inquiriesBuilding and mentoring a compliance team over time, including hiring, development, and establishing departmental standardsQualifications7+ years of environmental compliance experience, with a minimum of 3 years in a senior or lead capacityDemonstrated experience authoring SWPPPs and SPCC plans independentlyComprehensive knowledge of EPA regulatory programsProven experience designing and delivering compliance trainingTexas/TCEQ familiarity strongly preferred; candidates prepared to achieve proficiency within 90 days will be consideredPreferred certifications: CESSWI, CISEC, CPESC, QSP/QSD, CHMM, REM, or P.E.
