Senior Director of AccountingAtira Hospitality Chicago, IL (Hybrid)About the RoleAtira Hospitality is seeking a Senior Director of Accounting to lead financial operations across a growing multi-entity platform, including Atira Hospitality. This role is responsible for ensuring financial accuracy, strong cash management, and disciplined processes across the organization. This is a high-impact leadership role overseeing a hybrid accounting structure that includes outsourced bookkeeping and remote staff accountants. The ideal candidate is hands-on, highly organized, and capable of building structure, driving accountability, and supporting growth.Key ResponsibilitiesFinancial Oversight & ReportingReview, validate, and finalize monthly financial statements across all entitiesEnsure accuracy, completeness, and proper accruals in all financial reportingOversee outputs from Inn-Flow and internal accounting resourcesCash Management & BankingManage cash flow, liquidity, and funding across all entitiesOversee and approve wires, ACH payments, and intercompany transfersEnsure all payroll, vendor, and operational obligations are funded on timeAccounts Payable & ControlsOversee AP processes, approvals, and payment prioritizationEstablish and enforce internal controls for all disbursementsEnsure accuracy and discipline in vendor paymentsMulti-Entity AccountingOversee accounting for Atira Hospitality, PCA, and PLA(PCA and PLA requires minimal attention)Manage intercompany transactions, allocations, and reconciliationsMaintain and evolve Chart of Accounts to support growthTeam LeadershipLead and manage remote bookkeepers and outsourced accounting partnersEstablish clear workflows, accountability, and performance expectationsEnsure timely and accurate execution across all accounting functionsProcess Improvement & ScalabilityBuild and improve accounting processes, workflows, and controlsSupport onboarding of new properties and business growthStrengthen financial infrastructure to support a scalable platformOperational & Strategic SupportOversee property-level financial flows (funding, insurance, loans, etc.)Provide leadership with financial insights, risks, and recommendationsIdentify opportunities for cost savings and operational efficiencyWhat Success Looks LikeFinancials are accurate, reconciled, and delivered on timeCash flow is proactively managed with no funding gapsStrong processes and controls are in place across all entitiesAccounting operations scale seamlessly with business growthLeadership receives clear, actionable financial insightsQualificationsBachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field 3+ years of progressive accounting experience, including multi-entity oversightHospitality, property management, or multi-unit experience strongly preferredStrong experience with financial systemsExperience managing remote teams and/or outsourced accounting partnersStrong understanding of cash management, AP controls, and financial reportingBenefits-Accident, critical medical supplement insurance-Dental Insurance-Employee assistance program-Employee hotel room discount-Health insurance-Health savings account-Holiday pay-Life insurance-Long-term disability-Paid time off-Paid training-Professional development assistance-Vision insurance
