3020126Summary:This is an onsite (4 days per week) position in either Irving, TX or Boca Raton, FL. Join ADT’s engineering team to develop our next-generation, cloud-native monitoring platform that delivers real-time safety solutions for homes, people, and vehicles at scale. This position involves building mission-critical microservices, high-availability systems, and modern web applications that directly impact personal and property security. You will work with a cutting-edge technology stack and apply best practices in microservices architecture, CQRS, event-driven design, and cloud-native development.Duties and Responsibilities:Architecture and DevelopmentDesign and implement scalable, fault-tolerant microservices Develop RESTful APIs aligned with OpenAPI standards and security best practicesImplement robust authentication and authorization mechanisms (JWT, RBAC)Build event-driven workflows for asynchronous processingDatabase & InfrastructureDesign and manage schemas and migrations for PostgreSQL and Google Cloud SpannerOptimize queries and maintain data integrity across distributed systemsFront End Development Optimize queries and maintain data integrity across distributed systemsDevelop responsive, accessible UI components for React-based portalsWork closely with Product Management, DevOps, QA, SecOps, and ITAdditional duties as assignedSkills and Competencies:Backend: NestJS, Node.js, TypeScript, TypeORMFrontend: React, Tailwind CSS, shadcn/uiDatabases: PostgreSQL, Google Cloud SpannerCloud & Tools: GCP (Cloud Run, Cloud Spanner), Docker, Bitbucket Pipelines, Vitest, PlaywrightMinimum Qualifications:5+ years of professional software engineering experienceBachelors Degree in a related fieldStrong proficiency in Node.js and TypeScriptHands-on experience with NestJS and REST API developmentFamiliarity with React and modern frontend practicesWorking knowledge of CI/CD pipelines, Docker, and cloud servicesCertain roles are eligible for annual bonus and may include equity.
