Software Engineer (Rust)

Backend Engineer – NYC (Onsite)Join a startup building secure, privacy-focused communication and infrastructure software designed to protect sensitive data for enterprises and high-security environments. The team is focused on scalable backend systems, encrypted architecture, and reliable distributed infrastructure.What you’ll work on:Build and scale distributed backend systems with strong reliability and low latency.Improve databases, caching, messaging systems, and internal APIs.Develop enterprise features like SSO, MFA, provisioning, and secure data migration.Work closely with product and infrastructure teams on security, performance, and system architecture.What they’re looking for:3+ years building backend or distributed systems in production environments.Strong experience with databases, caching, and messaging systems.Proficiency in Rust, Go, C++, or similar systems languages. (Rust is a must).Experience designing scalable APIs, SDKs, or platform infrastructure.Nice to have:Experience with encrypted or privacy-focused systems.Familiarity with distributed systems, consistency models, or secure protocols.Startup experience.
