Plant Costing Manager
TITLE: Plant Costing ManagerPOSITION CLASSIFICATION: ExemptDEPARTMENT: RevenuePOSITION REPORT TO: Director of CostingREVISION DATE: May 28th, 2024SUMMARY: The Plant Costing Manager will monitor per-determined financial metrics and monitor accounting activities of the different production lines and SKUs. This role is responsible for monitoring line and plant efficiencies, direct and indirect costs vs. throughput and weekly reporting of measurable Key Performance Indicators (KPI).Education And ExperienceBA in Accounting, or Finance equivalent with a minimum of 5 years' experience in reporting capacity.5 plus years food manufacturing or related production experienceDeep understanding of production functional areas within operations and indirect costsUnderstanding of Operations, Planning and Forecasting as it relates to a Company's P&LStrong verbal, written, analytical, and interpersonal skillsSupervisory experience preferredMust be comfortable on the production floor in the manufacturing facilityExperience in NetSuite and/or Plex preferredJob ResponsibilitiesMonitor plants results vs budget, local cost metrics trends and all related activitiesQuantify and measure financial returns vs. production forecast in collaboration with PlanningCollaborate with the local Accounting/Finance department on daily reportsDrive the site to meet optimal financial results: provide guidance to Plant Managers and Supervisors on cost targets and standards.Daily monitor and analyze production yield, down-time and labor, report weekly on attainment and KPIs with trendsMonitor, analyze, and report period over period actual results against the budgetMonitor capacity week over week vs. efficiency/automation opportunitiesWork closely with operations and warehousing leadership to ensure that all financial transactions and reporting are complete, accurately, and timely: Work in Process and Finished GoodsSupport and lead the coordination of all internal and external financial and operational audits and address any audit findings with plant & warehousing and corporate leadershipPerform frequent walk-throughs of local manufacturing site with Plant Leadership to address production and costing issues and efficiency improvementsDocument short- and long-term department goals, objectives, in the form of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)Job Posted by ApplicantPro
