Location: Chesterfield, MORemote: RemoteType: Contract To HireJob #47019Technology Partners is currently seeking a talented Application Developer — Modernization.Do you have experience containerizing legacy .NET applications, updating them to .NET 10, and deploying to Azure Container Apps?Let us help you make your next big career move a reality!What You Will Be DoingYou will be part of the application modernization team, working directly under technical leads to accelerate the migration of large internal .NET applications. Your focus will be on executing assigned tickets by containerizing applications, updating them to the latest .NET framework, and deploying them to Azure Container Apps. You will collaborate with the team to follow established sprint cycles, participate in code reviews, and ensure adherence to client standards. This is a 6-month contract role where your technical expertise will directly impact the pace and quality of the modernization efforts.Key ResponsibilitiesTake application modernization tickets from the backlog and execute tasks such as containerization, framework upgrades, and deployment.Collaborate closely with technical leads and team members to ensure timely delivery of features.Build and maintain Docker images with multi-stage builds for legacy applications.Develop, test, and validate .NET and REST API components within the Azure environment.Participate in pull request reviews, adhering to engineering standards and best practices.Document code changes and support troubleshooting of legacy code when necessary.Assist in assessing remaining application backlog and help prioritize tasks based on usage, complexity, and modernization effort.Support integration with Azure Active Directory/Entra ID for application registration and authentication.Required Skills & Experience3-5+ years of experience developing with .NET and C#.Proven expertise in upgrading applications to .NET 10 and containerizing with Docker.Hands-on experience deploying applications to Azure Container Apps (ACA).Strong working knowledge of Azure DevOps for pipeline creation and ticket management.Experience with Azure Active Directory/Entra ID integration.Proficiency using unit and integration testing frameworks within the .NET environment.Solid understanding of REST API development.Familiarity with Git workflows, branching strategies, and PR procedures.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Comfortable working within client tooling and processes.Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field, or equivalent work experience.Desired Skills & ExperienceAwareness of Azure AI Foundry and related tools.Experience with multi-service microservices architecture.Previous consulting or client-facing project experience.Additional certifications related to Azure or containerization.Pay: $56.00 – $80.00 /hrKeywords: .NET 10, C#, Docker, Azure Container Apps, Azure DevOps, REST API, Application Modernization, Azure Active Directory, CI/CD, ContainerizationWe are interested in every qualified candidate who is eligible to work in the United States.
