Be a part of a team that thoroughly cleans all aspects of the ballpark to provide guests of Progressive Field a clean, safe, and comfortable environment that unites and inspires our city.RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES:All Staff:Properly understand and perform sanitization, disinfecting and cleaning protocols as set by ManagerMonitor all trash cans in assigned area and empty and reline as neededSurvey area for entire shift with broom and dustpan in hand, keeping areas free of litter and spillsMonitor assigned restrooms for cleanliness and restock supplies as needed, sign restroom check sheet on all restroom doors following every checkReport any maintenance and safety issues immediately to SupervisorBreakdown and dispose of cardboard boxes during promotional give-away gamesPerform all pre-game assignments as assigned by Supervisor including but not limited to performing trash runs/pushing tilt bins across concourseMust arrive to work on time, in uniform, and stay until the end of your scheduled shift (4-8 hours)Ability to read and understand cleaning chemical product use instructions.Must be able to lift and transport all necessary equipment weighing up to 50lbs.Must be minimum of 18 years of ageRequired to become member of Service Employees International Union, Local Number 1Perform all other duties as assigned by Supervisors and/or acting Manager-on-DutyLeads Only:Required to report to work 30-60 minutes prior to game day staff arrivingAbility to work special events on non-game daysAbility to act as Supervisor-on-Duty when in respective area when Supervisor is not presentAbility to actively patrol areas with broom and dustpan for entire shiftAbility to use a radio communication correctly and effectively with other team membersAbility to lead small groups of team members effectively to ensure department goals are achievedAbility to complete all assignments above accordinglyROLE REQUIREMENTS:Required to become member of Service Employees International Union, SEIU 1Valid driver's license (required for select positions)Trustworthy and dependableAbility to work independently or as part of teamAbility to work entire assigned shift, this includes but not limited to pre-events, post-events, and rain delaysAbility to hear, comprehend and disseminate instructions and vital information especially in the event of emergenciesPromptly monitor all public areas of the ballpark, reporting any matter that requires medical, security, custodial or maintenance personnel using means and methods provided in handbook, in a timely manner, continue to monitor to ensure satisfactory resolutionAbility to learn and operate basic computer operating programs i.e. Microsoft Outlook, Internet Explorer, ABI, UltiproDEPARTMENT REQUIREMENTS:Read and understand all relevant policies and procedures of the Ballpark Operations department and Cleveland Guardians OrganizationClear understanding of all other departments throughout the organizationMonitor and implement policies and procedures in a polite and friendly mannerProfessionally interact with all guests and employees in a clear and effective mannerActively engage and listen to all guests and professionally answer any questions or concerns in a timely mannerAbility to learn all areas of the ballpark, to provide clear accurate direction and assistance to all guestDocument all unusual or unique occurrences on an observation card and report to a Supervisor in a timely mannerAttend all required trainings and daily briefingsClear understanding of individual staff responsibilities throughout the departmentMaintain a professional appearance in compliance with the Employee Handbook and our uniform requirementsAVAILABILITY REQUIREMENTS:Available to work the vast majority of all home games during the months of April through OctoberTypical/Estimated Work Hours (subject to change depending on game/event gate times):Night Games: 4:00pm - End of game/eventDay Games: 10:00am - End of game/eventBreaks and lunches to be determined by supervisor;
