Senior Project Manager
OverviewVectorUSA is seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to join our San Diego office. This role leads large-scale technology infrastructure projects across multiple verticals, including K-12 (SDUSD), commercial, and public sector clients.Projects may include both E-rate and non–E-rate initiatives. The Senior Project Manager is responsible for full lifecycle delivery—from pre-construction planning and proposal development through execution, financial management, and project closeout—ensuring alignment across Sales, Engineering, Procurement, and Field Operations.Key ResponsibilitiesPortfolio & Project Delivery ManagementLead execution of multiple concurrent infrastructure projects from planning through closeoutOversee installation of network systems, wireless infrastructure, and structured cablingEnsure adherence to schedules, scope, quality standards, and client expectationsPre-Construction & Proposal SupportSupport RFP responses and proposal developmentCollaborate with Sales and Engineering to align solutions with client requirementsValidate scope, design, and feasibilityEngineering Coordination & Technical OversightCoordinate engineering efforts to align designs with requirements and field conditionsProvide input on architecture, equipment selection, and deployment strategiesBridge communication between engineering and field execution teamsFinancial, Procurement & Labor ManagementDevelop and manage project cost structures and labor plansOversee procurement and validate pricingMonitor budgets and mitigate financial risks through proactive cost controlContract & Compliance ManagementEnsure compliance with contract requirements, including E-rate and public sector standardsMaintain documentation for audit readinessSupport contract modifications as neededInvoicing, Billing & Subcontractor ComplianceManage client invoicing, schedule of values (SOV), and percent-complete trackingReview subcontractor invoicesEnsure compliance with certified payroll and contractual requirementsStakeholder & Subcontractor ManagementAct as liaison between internal teams, subcontractors, and stakeholdersLead meetings and track project progressEnsure quality and performance standards are metClient Leadership & EngagementRepresent VectorUSA with clients, general contractors, and inspectorsProvide technical guidance and maintain strong client relationshipsEnsure alignment across all project stakeholdersOperational Leadership & Process ImprovementIdentify workflow inefficiencies and drive process improvementsSupport standardization of documentation and execution practicesQualificationsExperience8–10 years of project management experience in IT infrastructure or construction environmentsProven success managing large-scale, multi-site deploymentsStrong background in:Network infrastructureWireless systemsStructured cablingPublic sector and E-rate experience preferredCertificationsPMP Certification (Required)Industry certifications (Cisco, Aruba, or similar) – PreferredEducationBachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Engineering, Construction Management, or related field (Preferred)Skills & CompetenciesStrong leadership and stakeholder managementFinancial acumen (budgeting, forecasting, cost control)Expertise in project lifecycle managementExcellent communication and ability to translate technical conceptsProficiency with:MS ProjectSmartsheetExcelStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsAdditional RequirementsAbility to travel locally for site visits and client meetingsValid driver’s license and reliable transportationCompensation & BenefitsSalary: $125,000 – $140,000 annually (based on experience)Performance-based bonusesHealth, dental, and vision insurance401(k) with employer contributionsProfessional development and certification reimbursementCollaborative, technology-driven work environmentVectorUSA is a proud Equal Opportunity Employer/Veterans/Disabled.
