DescriptionActalent is seeking a Junior Sensor Engineer to help develop and integrate sensors for client at NRL under NRL's Supporting Applied Optics group.Day To Day Design and develop prototype EO/IR sensor systems for military application: airborne, ground and ship platforms Integrate sensors with command and control, power, and data collection subsystems Develop and update design documents (Interface Control Documents - ICD) and power and communication schematics Test and evaluate prototype sensorsSkillsOptic, Hardware, EO, infrared sensors, IR, test, Focal play arrays, thermal, system integration, design, integration, designing, electro optical, electro optic, sensors, military application, Electrical, hyperspectral, interface control documents, icd, modeling system performanceAdditional Skills & QualificationsMust Have; BS in Electrical Engineering, Physics, or related field Min 2 years of experience with sensors Exp designing and implementing power and communication sub systems for multiple sensors EO/IR sensors (electro optic and infrared sensors) Exp testing and characterization of Focal Plane Arrays Ability to obtain Secret ClearancePlus hyperspectral sensors DoD industry background ICD (interface control documents)About ActalentActalent is a global leader in engineering and sciences services and talent solutions.
