Fire Alarm Service Support Technician

Build your career with the industry-leading fire, life safety and security company.The Fire Alarm Service Support Technician is an entry-level position that provides hands-on training and exposure to fire alarm systems under the direct supervision of experienced technicians. The technician will assist with inspections, testing, maintenance, and basic service tasks while developing foundational skills in the fire protection industry. This position does not operate independently.Essential Duties & ResponsibilitiesAssist technicians with service and maintenance of fire alarm systems.Support basic troubleshooting activities under direct supervision.Handle tools, materials, and equipment required for service jobs.Maintain a clean and organized work environment on job sites.Follow all company safety policies, procedures, and guidelines.Learn and apply industry standards, codes, and best practices.Accurately complete basic documentation as directed by supervisor.Travel to job sites as required with assigned team members.Use hand tools and testing equipment under supervision.Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors.Perform work in commercial, industrial, and construction environments.Travel to job sites as required.Other duties as assigned by management.Education/QualificationsHigh school diploma or equivalent required.No prior industry experience required.Ability to learn technical skills and follow instructions.Must be able to work under direct supervision.Basic mechanical aptitude preferred.Must have a clean driving record and active driver’s license.Other DutiesAdheres to the Code of Conduct, Confidentiality Agreement, and Company Safety Policy.Performs other duties as assigned by management.Physical RequirementsAbility to perform physical tasks including lifting, climbing ladders, and working in various environments.Ability to lift 50+ pounds.Exposure to varying conditions including heights, confined spaces, and active job sites.Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and reach for extended periods.Work performed in commercial, industrial, and construction environments.Benefits And PerksExcellent payMedical, dental, visionCompany paid life insuranceCompany paid short-term disability401K with employer matchPaid vacation and company holidaysTraining and Career DevelopmentCompany vehicle (if job applicable)Immediate qualification for the ALL In Ownership Plan for all eligible full-time employeesPye-Barker Fire & Safety is an Equal Opportunity Employer
