This role involves overseeing the design, development, and implementation of BI solutions, managing a team of BI professionals, and ensuring the delivery of accurate and timely business insights to support strategic decision-making.Essential Duties And ResponsibilitiesStrategy & Planning: Lead the development and implementation of the BI strategy aligned with organizational goals. Determine platforms and ensure the correct functioning of the central data warehouse. Collaborate with data owners and business units to develop models, procedures, and protocols for reporting. Research, review, and analyze the effectiveness of existing reporting procedures and develop strategies for enhancing or leveraging these processes. Participate in company meetings to suggest improvements for business processes. Guide the integration of acquisitions through effective BI processes and reporting.Operational Supervise the team in meeting with decision makers, systems owners, and end users to define reporting requirements and goals. Ensure the team promotes a culture of safety and demonstrates core behaviors in leadership. Oversee the development and delivery of reports, recommendations, or alternatives for improving processes in reporting systems by the team. Provide guidance to department and line managers regarding effective use of organizational reporting capabilities through the team's efforts. Coordinate and supervise the team in performing in-depth tests, including end-user reviews for post-implementation support. Oversee the communication of reporting changes, enhancements, and modifications, whether verbally or through written documentation, as carried out by the team. Manage the team's development, management, and maintenance of reports using SSRS and business processes using SSIS. Supervise the team in writing advanced queries in SQL and using ODBC connections to connect to non-SQL databases and transform data per company specifications. Oversee the creation and maintenance of data warehouses according to company specifications by the team.Qualifications Excellent analytical, mathematical, and creative problem-solving skills. Proven experience with report writing and technical requirements analysis, business process modeling/mapping, methodology development, and data modeling. In-depth knowledge of T-SQL queries, including stored procedures, views, triggers, cursors, etc. Experience with OLTP systems, ETL processes, and OLAP systems to create a data warehouse for self-serving reports. Strong knowledge of SSAS multidimensional databases and MDX. Strong fundamental knowledge of relational database systems. Demonstrated project management skills and project management software skills. Organized and able to work independently with a high degree of accuracy. Excellent listening, interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills. Logical, efficient, and keen attention to detail. Highly self-motivated and directed. Ability to prioritize and execute tasks under pressure. Strong customer service orientation. Experience working in a team-oriented collaborative environment. Proven experience in a business intelligence function or database administration.
