Senior Python Developer

Remote Software Engineer, Python About AltexSoft We are looking for a skilled and proactive engineer to join a long-term project focused on building cloud-based financial and tax management solutions for asset-intensive industries. The role involves working on user-friendly interfaces, data processing logic, and system integrations that support compliance, transparency, and operational efficiency. You’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams including designers, analysts, and SMEs, and contribute to the development of reporting tools. About Project The project focuses on automating financial data processing, ensuring regulatory compliance, and enhancing data transparency and analytics. Work includes building interfaces for asset management, transactions, reporting, filtering, user roles, and system integrations. You Have 5+ years of professional experience in backend development using Python Strong hands-on experience with Flask or Flask-RESTful for building scalable microservices Solid knowledge of containerization and deployment using Docker Understanding of CI/CD processes (preferably GitHub Actions, Kubernetes) Experience with data integration, transformation, filtering, and report generation/export Familiarity with relational databases and experience working with stored procedures (PostgreSQL preferred) Ability to collaborate in Agile/Scrum environments and communicate effectively with cross-functional teams Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving mindset Experience using AI coding assistants (e.g., Cursor, GitHub Copilot, or similar) in day-to-day development tasks Would be a plus Understanding of IFRS or other financial reporting standards Experience working on financial, tax, or accounting-related systems Familiarity with Celery, vector databases, or retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) architectures Experience integrating or developing AI-powered features within backend systems Experience building AI-powered solutions or integrating AI pipelines/APIs into software projects You Are Going To Develop and maintain data processing logic, and system integrations. Participate in release planning, testing, and performance optimization. Collaborate with SME, business analysts, and client team. Support client demos, gather feedback, and improve product functionality.
