Software Engineering Intern

Location: Onsite in Omaha, Nebraska. Essential Job Functions: Learn from and work directly alongside experienced developers and analysts to maintain and enhance mission-critical systems Enhance your skills in an Agile and Kanban development environment Integrate your best ideas into developing rich, interactive software solutions for both Web and Desktop Demonstrate your attention to detail by providing quality control during the software development lifecycle Other duties as assigned Reliable, dependable and predictable attendance is a requirement Basic Requirements: Enrolled in an accredited university seeking a BS or MS degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or equivalent Preferred Requirements: Understands OOP principles and application/database operations Good knowledge of programming concepts (conditions, looping, etc.) Some experience in developing Web and Windows-based desktop applications in multiple environments is preferred Strict adherence to best practices/standards Good documentation habits Self-motivated, team player Excellent oral and written skills Minimum GPA of 3.0 Tenaska is an equal opportunity employer.
