Moran,Assistant Superintendent of Human ResourcesSUBJECT: Assistant Principal - Arnone School - School Year 2026-2027It is requested that the following information be brought to the attention of all teaching and administrative personnel in the Brockton Public Schools. The School Department is advertising the position of Assistant Principal - Arnone SchoolQualifications:Principal/Assistant Principal PreK-8 licenseFive or more years of successful teaching and/or administrative experience.Strong background in education, initiatives, philosophy, teaching, and curriculum and instruction preferred.Experience in change process, redesign initiatives and strategies, accreditation, special education, and multilingual learnerspreferred.Knowledge of student discipline laws and regulations, multi-tiered support systems, Restorative Justice, district policies, bestpractices related to building administration, and student handbook policies.Supervision and evaluation experience preferred.Duties and Responsibilities:1.Assist in sustaining a positive climate and culture conducive to teaching and learning in order to increase student proficiency.2.Review student attendance, behavior, and academic data on a bi-weekly basis and conduct family/caregiver meetings to developinterventions and report attendance concerns in accordance with district identified timelines.3.Administer student discipline according to district policy and law.4.Ensure all students involved in discipline know their rights and receive due process.5.Develop intervention strategies that support the needs of students and ensure all staff are trained and supported in the use ofthose strategies.6.Conduct investigations to ensure appropriate documentation of incidents, interviews, and outcomes.7.Implement a multi-tiered system of support that integrates data and instruction to increase student proficiency and supportstudents' social, emotional, and behavioral needs8.Complete district-provided safety care training and utilize de-escalation techniques to deal with dysregulated students9.Collaborate with counselors and student support staff to develop behavioral interventions for students.10.Utilize restorative practices as a means to resolve conflict and address behavioral concerns.11.Collaborate with families to address concerns around academic performance, behavior, and attendance.12.Provide support for afterschool/extracurricular activities as needed and directed by the Principal.13.Supervise and evaluate teachers, ensuring adherence to Educator Evaluation timelines.14.Perform other related duties as assigned by the Principal.Compensation: 1.25 ratio/10 months 2 weeksReports to: Arnone School Principal
