Your Role:As a Product Development Specialist, you will be responsible for maintaining and updating underwriting guidelines, analyzing competitor products and supporting the rollout of new product offerings. This role will also work to ensure our products stay competitive and compliant. The position will provide support to the Exception & Scenario and Credit Team and the Secondary Department as needed. This role will report to the Senior Transaction Manager.Key Responsibilities:Maintain and update underwriting guidelines across all origination channels, including proprietary products and investor programsEnsure timely and accurate distribution of updated guidelines, checklists, and related materials to internal teams and product pricing enginesManage new product and investor rollouts in collaboration with Compliance, Underwriting, Secondary, Closing, and Training teamsSupport training efforts with clear materials for Sales and OperationsConduct competitor and market analysis to identify gaps and recommend enhancementsCoordinate guideline revisions with internal teams and maintain internal databasesSupport the Exception & Scenario team on loan-specific questionsAssist with guideline analysis for bulk bidding and investor comparisonsPerform additional duties as assigned by managementAd hoc responsibilities as determined by management from time to time and in its sole discretionQualifications:Bachelor's Degree in finance or related field preferredMinimum five years' work experience either in the lending industry or related field.Industry experience preferred but not requiredProficiency in Microsoft OfficeStrong analytical and communication (written/oral) skillsMust be flexible and adaptable to changeStrong attention to detailProximity to Stamford (CT) or Irvine (CA) for occasional travel to the office preferredPERKS and BENEFITSAt LMC we believe our employees are our greatest asset.
