We aim to push the boundaries of propulsion technology to serve both commercial and defense sectors. We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Buyer to join our procurement team supporting the production of rocket assembly operations. The Junior Buyer will play a key role in ensuring the timely acquisition of materials, components, and services required for manufacturing and assembly processes. This position requires strong organizational skills, the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and a passion for contributing to cutting-edge aerospace and defense projects. Key Responsibilities: Expediting Orders: Monitor and track purchase orders to ensure on-time delivery of materials and services. Proactively follow up with suppliers to address delays or issues. Procurement Support: Assist in sourcing and purchasing materials, components, and services required for rocket assembly operations, ensuring alignment with production schedules and quality standards. Problem Resolution: Identify and resolve supply chain disruptions, including late deliveries, quality issues, or discrepancies in shipments, in collaboration with internal teams and suppliers. Indirect Products Procurement: Source and order all indirect items to support company activities to include (office supplies, commodities, general shop services, and marketing materials, etc.) Supplier Coordination: Communicate with suppliers to confirm order details, delivery timelines, and resolve any discrepancies or delays. Order Management: Create and manage purchase orders, track order status, and ensure timely delivery of goods to support production needs. Inventory Monitoring: Collaborate with inventory and production teams to monitor stock levels and identify procurement needs to avoid shortages or disruptions. Cost Optimization: Support efforts to negotiate pricing, terms, and conditions with suppliers to achieve cost savings while maintaining quality standards. Compliance: Ensure all procurement activities comply with company policies, industry regulations, and aerospace standards, including ITAR and FAR/DFAR requirements. Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate records of purchase orders, supplier communications, and procurement activities. Generate reports on procurement performance and metrics. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with engineering, production, and quality teams to ensure purchased materials meet technical specifications and quality requirements. Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities to improve procurement processes and supplier performance to enhance overall efficiency. Qualifications: Education: Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field preferred. Equivalent experience will be considered. Experience: 1-3 years of experience in procurement, supply chain, or purchasing roles, preferably in the aerospace or manufacturing industry. Technical Skills: Proficiency in ERP/MRP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and Microsoft Office Suite. Familiarity with aerospace industry standards is a plus. Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact with suppliers and internal teams. Problem-Solving: Analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy and attention to detail in managing purchase orders and supplier communications. Team Player: Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to support production goals. Clearance: Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance, if required. TAR Requirements: To conform to U.S. Government space technology export regulations, including the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) you must be a U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident of the U.S., protected individual as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3), or eligible to obtain the required authorizations from the U.S. Department of State.
