Potential travel may be needed to clinics on an as needed basis.Primary ResponsibilitiesProvide Desktop Support, troubleshooting hardware and software issues on desktop, laptop, tablet computers and virtual environmentsReceive, troubleshoot, and respond to Help Desk requests via phone calls or tickets in a 24/7 environmentPrioritize workload based on service level agreementsAct as a technical resource to others to resolve problems or issuesSupport a virtual enclave for OptumServe including VMWare clients, RDSH applications and full desktopsSupport onsite events including hardware and softwareSupport onsite clinicians including hardware, software, VPN, printers, scanners and medical equipmentEducate end-users on how to resolve various hardware and software problemsAssist staff with installation, configuration and ongoing usability of desktops, laptops, peripheral equipment and software complying with given standards and guidelinesFront Desk duties to include virtual front desk, checking email, etc.Monitors telephone calls from users having problems using computer software and hardware or inquiring how to use specific software or hardwareMaintain Incident / Request logs and recordsMake preliminary identification of problems encountered by network users to determine if they are due to equipment, network, or application errors. Escalate to appropriate personnel as needed to achieve resolutionAssist users including connecting keyboard, mouse, and monitor to PC, checking for proper operation and installation of softwareSupport users migrating to Optum hardware devices in a mixed environment including OptumServe legacy hardware and virtual applicationsInvestigate and resolve computer software and hardware problemsProvide software application support to end users via telephone or on - siteProvide good written and oral communication skillsPerform related duties as may be requiredYou'll be rewarded and recognized for your performance in an environment that will challenge you and give you clear direction on what it takes to succeed in your role as well as provide development for other roles you may be interested in.Required QualificationsHigh School Diploma/GED (or higher) and 2+ years of work/military experience in an IT Field OR associate's degree (or higher) and 1+ years of experience in a desktop support environment1+ years of experience with current network topology, TCP/IP network troubleshooting in a WAN/LAN environment, office applications, printing processes, and advanced troubleshooting of desktop operating systems1+ years of experience with troubleshooting issues with servers, desktops, printers, networks, remote access, and Internet Explorer1+ years of experience resolving mechanical/technical problems over the phone with emphasis on troubleshooting ability1+ years of experience identifying and communicating trends and working with senior department team members to define corrective action1+ years of experience using AD to create and manage users, groups, and resources effectively1+ years of experience with Microsoft Office products to assist end-users with technical assistance for hardware and softwareUS Citizenship RequiredPreferred QualificationContinually seeks to improve technical skills as they relate to all areas of the support organization through attending classes, providing onsite support to facilities, as requested, and keeping up to date on company and industry standardsAll employees working remotely will be required to adhere to UnitedHealth Group's Telecommuter PolicyPay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). The hourly pay for this role will range from $23.89 to $42.69 per hour based on full-time employment.
