Senior Payroll Administrator

Essential Functions:This position is responsible for:Approaching work with a Continuous Improvement (CI) mindset, and engaging in Shehadey Family Foods Mission Statement to identify, value, prioritize, resources and sustain improvement opportunities. Owning and promoting a Safety Culture by ensuring a safe work environment and promoting proper safety behavior. Working in a manner consistent with our Core Values and promoting and exemplifying our Purpose in all activities. Process payroll for multi-state employees (CA, NV, OR) ensuring accuracy and timeliness Ensure compliance with all applicable wage and hour laws, including California-specific requirements, Nevada and Oregon Review and audit payroll data including timekeeping, earnings, deductions, and taxes Maintain employee payroll records in HRIS/payroll systems, UKG Pro and WFM Administer garnishments, levies, and child support orders Coordinate payroll tax filings and ensure proper multi-state tax handling Reconcile payroll prior to and after processing Partner with HR on hires, terminations, leaves, and pay changes Ensure timely and compliant final pay processing in all states. Respond to employee payroll inquiries in a timely manner. Support all internal and external audits Assist with year-end processes including W-2s Maintain strict confidentiality of payroll data Other duties as assigned. Knowledge & Skills:Must have excellent communication and training skills Demonstrate good judgement, problem solving and decision-making skills as well as being an organized recordkeeper. Must be trustworthy self-started who can work independently and deliver accurate, timely results. Demonstrate organization and accuracy skills, self-motivated, detail oriented and able to handle multiple projects/tasks with completing deadlines. Must demonstrate the ability to solve problems, accept constructive feedback and show flexibility should priorities and/or completing deadlines. Strong strategic thinking, project management skills, attention to detail, and the ability to proactively identify key issues and risks. Strong customer service and problem-solving approach. Excellent verbal and written skills. Must be able to build productive relationships across all levels of an organization Minimum Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, HR, or related field preferred (or equivalent experience) 3–5+ years of payroll experience, preferably high-volume (1,000+ employees) Multi-state payroll experience required (NV, OR and CA strongly preferred) Compensation: $90,000 - $105,000 annual depending on experience Equal Opportunity EmployerThis employer is required to notify all applicants of their rights pursuant to federal employment laws.
