Southern Magnolia Estates Iuka - Full time & Every Other Weekend (Saturday and Sunday) 12 hour shifts.Rate of pay is based on experience, $20-$25/hourMust have current LPN licensePrepares, monitors, and administers medication to Residents at scheduled intervalsAssist Residents diagnosed with diabetes at regular intervalsReview all notes in the Resident Service Plans Binder, Resident Communication Logs, discussing all pertinent issues with Resident Assistant staff, Resident Services Director, and Executive DirectorReview Medication Administration Records for accuracyReview changes in the Resident Service Plans and CareSteps assessmentsComplete Comprehensive Assessments, Physical Self-Maintenance Screen, and Behavioral Screens for all ResidentsResponsible for notifying the Pharmacy upon Resident move-out (including death) or admittance to the Hospital so that Pharmacy can stop medicationsCreate a new plan of care for any Resident returning to the Community from the HospitalPerform regular audits on all PRN and bulk item medications, ordering from pharmacy when neededPerform regular audits of the controlled medications and investigate any discrepancyFile Residents files and Medication ChecklistUpdate Resident Service Plans BinderMake medical appointments and schedule transportation for Residents, coordinating schedules with the Resident Services Director/Resident Services Coordinator to ensure there are no conflictsMaintains daily communication (both written and verbal) with Executive DirectorFamiliar with gerontology and an overall view of health care delivery, including State regulations.Must have an overall "caring" attitudeExcellent verbal and written communication, including listening skillsMust have ability to supervise othersMust be able to lift 75 pounds unassisted and 125 pounds per person in a two-person liftWill be regular in attendance, with the right attitude and attireValid driver's license in the state of employment requiredWe are a drug-free workplace, we do perform criminal background checks and random substance abuse testing
