Accounting Manager

Growing, technology-driven organization is seeking an Accounting Manager to join its finance leadership team. This role will oversee accounting operations, reporting processes, policy development, and internal controls while helping modernize and streamline the overall accounting function.This position will partner closely with senior leadership and play a key role in improving processes, supporting automation initiatives, managing external audit/tax relationships, and helping guide the organization through continued growth and evolving reporting requirements.Key Responsibilities:• Oversee accounting processes, reporting cycles, and automation initiatives• Support development and implementation of accounting policies and procedures• Lead process improvement and reporting optimization efforts across the organization• Research and interpret new accounting guidance and reporting requirements• Manage external relationships with auditors, tax advisors, and consultants• Assist with complex accounting transactions and operational initiatives• Support internal controls and compliance efforts• Mentor and help develop accounting team membersQualifications:• 5+ years of accounting and finance experience• Prior leadership or people management experience preferred• Strong understanding of GAAP, reporting, and internal controls• Insurance industry experience highly preferred• CPA preferred• Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills• Comfortable operating in fast-paced, evolving environments• Strong systems and technology aptitude with interest in process automation and workflow improvementThe organization offers a highly collaborative environment focused on innovation, operational efficiency, and long-term growth opportunities.
