Maintenance Technician

Knoxville company is seeking a Maintenance Technician.Responsibilities:Perform maintenance tasks to support the assembly floor and facility.Detect and report defective equipment or unsafe conditions to the department supervisor.Clean and maintain work area and equipment to ensure safety conditions are met.Perform regular preventive maintenance on machines, equipment, and plant facilities.Prepare and set up machinery for scheduled production runs.Perform mechanic skills including, but not limited to, mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic troubleshooting and repair of packaging and production machines.Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service.Perform highly diversified duties to install and maintain production machines and the plant facility's equipment.Diagnose problems, replace, or repair parts, test and make adjustments.Use a variety of hand and power tools, electric meters, and material handling equipment.Detect faulty operations, defective equipment, unsafe situations, and report to supervisor.Ensure all actions are in compliance with rules, regulations, policies, and procedures.Complete all other duties and cross-training activities as assignedQualifications:High school diploma or equivalent requiredMinimum of two (2) years of Maintenance experience requiredSpecialized Knowledge:Familiarity with electrical systems and wiringAbility to use hand and power toolsFabrication knowledge preferred, but not requiredCompetencies:Ability to complete assignments with attention to detail and a high degree of accuracyAbility to work under pressure and adapt to changing priorities and job dutiesWillingness to help where and when needed, beyond the scope of normal day-to-day duties
