This is a full-time, hands-on senior-level position for an experienced IT professional who understands both technology and the business needs of small and mid-sized organizations.You will serve as a trusted technology advisor to a portfolio of clients in the Dallas/Fort Worth area, taking ownership of their IT environments, guiding technology decisions, leading projects, resolving complex technical issues, and identifying opportunities to improve security, reliability, performance, and efficiency.The role is heavily focused on the Microsoft technology ecosystem, including Microsoft 365, Azure, Entra, Intune, Windows Server, and related technologies. LeadershipServe as the primary IT resource and trusted technology advisor for assigned clients in the Dallas/Fort Worth area.Build strong, long-term relationships with clients and understand their business goals, challenges, and technology needs.Provide clear, practical recommendations to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.Assess client environments and identify opportunities to improve security, infrastructure, reliability, performance, and scalability.Develop technology roadmaps and recommend solutions that align with business objectives and budgets.Own client environments from assessment and planning through implementation and ongoing support.Engineering & InfrastructureSupport and manage servers, networks, desktops, laptops, cloud environments, and other business-critical infrastructure.Design, implement, and manage new installations, upgrades, migrations, and infrastructure refreshes.Troubleshoot and resolve complex systems, network, cloud, and infrastructure issues efficiently and professionally.Design, implement, and optimize enterprise-grade switching, routing, firewalls, and network infrastructure.Design and manage virtualization environments, preferably VMware.Support Microsoft 365, Exchange, Azure, Entra, Intune, Windows Server, and related Microsoft technologies.Implement and manage cloud-based solutions across platforms such as Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud.Help clients improve backup, disaster recovery, business continuity, and security posture.Project Management & ImplementationLead technical projects from discovery and proposal through implementation and completion.Develop project plans, timelines, milestones, and deliverables.Communicate project status, risks, dependencies, and next steps clearly with clients and internal teams.Manage multiple projects and competing priorities simultaneously using established project management systems.Ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and to a high standard.Business Development & Client GrowthIdentify technology improvements and business opportunities within existing client environments.Develop and present solutions, proposals, and recommendations to clients.Participate in pre-sales and post-sales activities as needed.Partner with clients to determine when technology investments can improve productivity, security, or business operations.Help drive account growth by delivering exceptional service and identifying meaningful opportunities.Leadership & MentorshipLead by example as a senior technical resource within the team.Mentor and develop junior engineers, helping them grow their technical and consulting skills.Assist with onboarding and training new engineers.Share technical knowledge, best practices, and lessons learned across the organization.What We're Looking ForRequired Qualifications5+ years of IT consulting experience, preferably supporting multiple small-to-medium-sized business clients.5+ years in a senior systems engineering or infrastructure engineering role.5+ years of hands-on experience with Microsoft technologies, including Microsoft 365, Exchange, Azure, Entra, Intune, Windows Server, and related platforms.5+ years of advanced virtualization experience, preferably VMware.5+ years of network design and optimization experience, including enterprise-grade switches, firewalls, routers, and related technologies.Extensive experience with one or more major cloud platforms, including Microsoft Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud.Demonstrated experience designing, implementing, and supporting complex IT environments.Strong understanding of cybersecurity, infrastructure, networking, cloud, backup, and disaster recovery concepts.Proven ability to manage multiple clients, projects, and priorities simultaneously.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.Ability to work independently while following established
