Superload Driver
Job Summary :Under the direct supervision of the Dispatcher, the Driver is responsible for providing excellent customer service and completing product deliveries timely and accurately, according to customer needs.Primary Responsibilities :Represent Farren International in a professional manner both while at delivery sites and while driving on the roadwayDetermine best route for delivery considering weather, time, equipment and road conditionsAdhere to daily scheduleOperate equipment according to established safety standardsConstant communication with DispatchersFollow all applicable DOT regulationsFollow all Company policiesPerform required pre and post-trip inspections and complete paperworkUse company provided ELD to remain in compliance with DOT regulationsReport serious mechanical problems to the appropriate personnelKeep their truck and associated equipment clean and in good working orderSafely load/unload and secure cargoUnderstand and interpret permits correctly.May be required to assist the rigging team on projects.Other duties may be assigned to meet business needsRequirementsKnowledge and Skill Requirements :Must understand DOT regulationsMust be able to communicate clearly and effectivelyMust have a high school diploma or equivalentMust have a minimum of two years of truck driving experienceMust be comfortable with multi axle perimeter and deck trailers, specialty trailer experience a plus.Rigging experience preferred.License and Certification Requirements :Must have a valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) in good standing for a minimum of two years.Must possess current DOT Health CardClean MVRPhysical Demands and Essential Duties :Prolonged sitting/driving (up to eleven hours per day)Must be able to be on duty fourteen hours per day.Must be able to lift up 70 lbs.Reach overhead to grasp materialsTwist, bend, stoop, squat to floor levelMust be able to move 2,000 lbs. pallet of freight with a hand pallet jack if required at loading/unloading site.Superload drivers are expected to stay out on the road for an average of 6-8+ weeks depending on workload.Load and unload cargo as needed
