Total Store Sanitation Representative As a Total Store Sanitation Representative, you'll maintain cleanliness and safety for an entire store, inside and out, all while making our customers feel welcome. Key responsibilities include sanitation and maintenance, ensuring the store's cleanliness and safety with a sense of urgency and prioritization, including floors, windows, break rooms, and restrooms. Maintain fulfillment of department hand wash sinks, such as paper towels, soap, sanitizer. Clean and pick up trash and debris from flower beds and yard around the store. Use H-E-B chemical program and correctly organize and maintain stock in the maintenance room. Empties and cleans trash receptacles throughout the store and each department. Ensure food safety and sanitation standards are achieved by following SOPs. Communicate maintenance needs, problems, or solutions to store leaders. Additionally, you will work with and around customers, attending to their needs, assisting customers in the location of product, and performing all duties of Customer Service Assistant when needed. Qualifications and key requirements include work experience, knowledge/skills/abilities, education, and licenses/certifications. Work experience includes knowledge of OSHA guidelines, sack skills, ability to take initiative and prioritize competing tasks, and customer service-oriented skills. Education requires a high school diploma or GED or equivalent. Licenses/certifications include completion of company orientation, in-store orientation, basics of safety, annual food handler, and basic HAZMAT/chemical safety certifications. Physical demands and working conditions include constantly walking, reaching, grasping, pushing/pulling with arms, and frequently bending. Occasionally, you may need to sit, stand, reach overhead, reach at shoulder, reach at knee, reach at floor, stoop, squat, crouch, kneel, climb stairs, climb ladders, pivot, twist, pinch, and perform fine motor movements. You may also occasionally be exposed to cold, ambient temperatures, loud noise, and wet conditions. Demonstrate the ability to lift 50 lbs, and manage in excess of 50 lbs. It is partners' responsibility to never lift beyond their own safe lifting limit. If an item is too heavy to lift, push or pull, and/or carry, the partner must break the box down into lighter, smaller, more manageable components, or ask for assistance from another partner or a manager.
