School Psychologist - Elevate Student Well-Being

General ResponsibilitiesPerforms a full range of school psychological services in an educational setting, enabling students to achieve optimal learning. Collects, interprets, and synthesizes information about a student's sensory motor and perceptual functioning, academic achievement, intelligence, social and emotional adjustment. Includes evaluation, counseling, consultation, crisis intervention, threat and risk assessment, staff development, research, case record management, and educational planning and coordination with outside agencies.For more information see the job description page on the FCCPS website.Education And ExperiencePossess a Master of School Psychology degree, or a program deemed equivalent by the Virginia Department of Education review consisting of 60 graduate semester hours, plus one year internshipEligibility for a Virginia License as a school psychologistExperience working with children and adolescents in a school, clinic or hospital settingPhysical RequirementsSensory skills to effectively communicate and interact with other employees and the public through the use of the telephone and personal contact as normally defined by the ability to see, read, talk, hear, handle or feel objects and controls.Physical capability to effectively use and operate various items of office related equipment, such as, but not limited to: a personal computer, calculator, copier, fax machine and projection and video devices.Ability to engage in significant climbing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, grasping, or repetitive motions.Salary InformationFCCPS Salary ScalesBenefits EligibilityEligibleApplication ProcedureApply onlineJ-18808-Ljbffr
