Shipping & Receiving SupervisorJob SummaryThe Shipping & Receiving Supervisor oversees the accuracy, efficiency, and integrity of warehouse documentation and inventory transactions within the Warehouse Management System (WMS). This role ensures alignment between system data and physical inventory, proactively resolves discrepancies, and maintains clear communication across operations.As a hands-on leader, this position supervises clerical team members, drives performance through coaching and accountability, and promotes a collaborative, high-performance work environment. The Team Lead is instrumental in maintaining operational continuity, strengthening processes, and upholding company standards across all shipping and receiving activities.Key ResponsibilitiesEnsure accuracy and integrity of all WMS data, aligning system records with physical inventory and shipping documentationPerform regular audits to identify discrepancies and drive timely resolutionReview and validate shipment documentation, including Bills of Lading and release logs, for accuracy and complianceInvestigate and escalate inventory or order processing issues; partner with cross-functional teams to implement solutionsAnalyze audit results to identify trends and recommend process improvementsMaintain clear, consistent communication regarding inventory status and operational updatesLeadership ResponsibilitiesLead, coach, and develop the Shipping & Receiving team to drive performance and accountabilityServe as the primary escalation point for complex or sensitive issuesMonitor team performance using KPIs and audits; provide actionable feedback and supportEnsure smooth shift handoffs and continuity of operationsReinforce compliance with company policies, safety standards, and operational proceduresPartner with leadership to implement improvements and enhance overall efficiency QualificationsHigh school diploma or GED required3+ years of experience in shipping & receiving, clerical, or administrative roles (warehouse or transportation environment preferred)1-3 years of leadership or supervisory experience Skills & RequirementsProficient in Microsoft Excel and general computer applicationsExperience with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) preferredStrong attention to detail and accuracyEffective written and verbal communication skillsHighly organized with strong time management abilitiesSelf-starter with a proactive, problem-solving mindsetAbility to sit for extended periods and lift up to 15 lbs as needed Why work for us?At TA Dedicated, our dedication to continuous improvement and our commitment to the safety of everyone is proven through our actions.We focus on utilizing our integrated industry relationships to improve safety regulations and challenge industry norms.We pride ourselves on open and honest communication throughout our relationships.
