Competitive Base + Bonus + Strong BenefitsWe are partnered with a well-established and growing General Contractor in Dallas seeking an experienced Preconstruction Manager to lead the front-end planning and estimating for large-scale multifamily developments.This is a great opportunity for a construction professional who thrives in a collaborative environment and has a proven track record managing preconstruction and estimating for complex $25M+ projects.Candidates must currently live in Texas or be willing to relocate within the state.The RoleThe Preconstruction Manager will lead the preconstruction process from early design through project start, ensuring accurate budgeting, strong subcontractor engagement, and smooth project transitions to the operations team.Key responsibilities include:• Leading preconstruction efforts for $25M+ multifamily projects • Preparing and managing conceptual estimates, detailed budgets, and cost plans • Coordinating with owners, architects, and consultants during design development • Managing value engineering and cost optimization strategies • Overseeing subcontractor outreach, bidding, and scope leveling • Supporting schedule development and project logistics planning • Ensuring a smooth handoff to project management and field teamsIdeal Background• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Architecture, Engineering, or a related field • 8+ years of experience in preconstruction, construction management, or general contracting • Comprehensive knowledge of construction processes, project management methodologies, and commercial real estate development • Strong understanding of budgeting, estimating, and preconstruction planning • Familiarity with permitting processes, building codes, and regulatory compliance requirements • Proven ability to collaborate with owners, architects, consultants, and internal project teamsCompensation & Benefits Competitive base salary (DOE) Performance-based bonusFull benefits package Long-term growth with a respected Dallas builderIf you're a Preconstruction professional in Texas exploring your next opportunity in the Dallas market, I would welcome a confidential conversation.
