NASSCO is seeking a Product Discovery & Strategy Director to help shape the future of its educational offerings and global workforce initiatives. This newly created role will focus on identifying opportunities, developing strategic roadmaps, determining viability and impact, and collaborating with the NASSCO Program Director to guide the creation of high-impact training and certification programs that meet evolving industry needs. You will collaborate with a dedicated team and industry leaders while helping develop and adapt innovative solutions that support the growing global adoption of NASSCO’s programs and standards. Responsibilities Develop the vision and strategic roadmap for new and existing educational offerings, aligning initiatives with organizational goals and industry needs. Conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify emerging trends, customer needs, and opportunities for new training, certification programs, and related services. Evaluate new initiatives through feasibility studies, including positioning, financial viability, ROI, and potential impact on industry standards. Translate input from Association members, committees, and stakeholders into clear program requirements and actionable plans. Use data and performance metrics to inform decisions, monitor program effectiveness, and guide continuous improvement. Identify and leverage new technologies, methodologies, and formats to enhance learning outcomes and user experience. Support the full lifecycle of programs from concept development through implementation and long‑term enhancement in partnership with internal teams. Stay informed on industry trends, regulatory changes, and workforce developments to ensure offerings remain relevant and future‑focused. Explore international opportunities and adapt programs to meet cultural, linguistic, and regional needs. Collaborate cross‑functionally with internal teams and external partners to ensure successful program development and delivery. Knowledge and Skills Strong strategic thinking and analytical abilities, with the capacity to evaluate complex opportunities and translate insights into actionable plans Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including presentations and stakeholder engagement Ability to synthesize diverse inputs into clear recommendations that support sound decision‑making Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple priorities effectively Comfort working with data, metrics, and business cases to inform strategic initiatives Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications; familiarity with project management tools is a plus Basic knowledge of learning technologies, including content/course development, and Learning Management Systems (LMS) Experience We are seeking a candidate with 5–10 years of relevant professional experience developing and launching strategic initiatives, programs, or products in complex organizational environments. The ideal candidate will bring a demonstrated ability to conduct market research, assess feasibility, and develop comprehensive business or product plans that move ideas from concept to implementation. This includes defining positioning, evaluating potential impact, and supporting execution. The role requires strong cross‑functional collaboration and the ability to influence stakeholders without direct authority, while distilling complex inputs into clear, practical recommendations. Strong analytical capability, sound judgment, and a proactive, solutions‑oriented mindset are essential. Experience in workforce development, learning systems, professional services, consulting, or standards‑driven organizations is highly desirable. Education Bachelor’s degree required (business, technology, or related field preferred), or equivalent experience. Salary and Benefits The salary range is $130,000–$150,000 annually, depending on experience. The compensation package includes participation in a Simple IRA with up to a 3% matching contribution; comprehensive medical, vision, and dental insurance; access to a Health Savings Account (HSA); and a performance‑based bonus after the first year of service. Location & Work Structure This position is based in a hybrid work environment, with in‑office collaboration expected three days per week (Monday, Wednesday, and Friday).
