The Laboratory Assistant will be responsible for general lab maintenance in our molecular biology lab and controlled plant growth facility, including cleaning and sanitizing laboratory glassware, dishes, and general plant care to ensure safe and efficient laboratory operations. is is a part-time position. The Laboratory Assistant generally will need to be available 10-20 hours per week.Key ResponsibilitiesPlant care in growth chamber (watering, planting, soil preparation, plant trimming)Seed extraction and processing of multiple plant species (soy, corn, tomato, etc.)Cleaning of glassware and lab materialsGeneral lab maintenance such as waste disposalCollection of tissue samplesBasic plant measurements and imagingAssistance with general greenhouse maintenance (sweeping, cleaning, pressure washing)RequirementsHigh school diploma or equivalentAbility to work independently and as part of a team Attention to detail and ability to follow instructionsStrong reading comprehension and ability to interpret written instructionsStrong communication and interpersonal skillsAbility to lift up to 50 poundsBasic computer skillsPunctualityBenefitsWorking at InnerPlantThe US base salary range for this position is $16.90 - $20 per hour.
