Experienced Carpenter

Job description Seeking a reliable carpenter assistant/crew worker/ right hand man to work on quality decking and outdoor projects in the Chicago suburbs. Local travel to job sites in the Chicago-land area necessary. Candidate should have own tool pouch, be able to lift 80 lbs+, have work experience, clean record & clean driver's license; should also exhibit attention to detail, quality craftsmanship, a good work ethic and be reliable. Skills Proven experience as carpenter Hands-on experience in working with carpentry materials Excellent understanding of carpentry techniques and methods of installation and construction Proficient in using electrical and manual equipment and measurement tools (powered saws, hammers, rulers etc.) Ability to read technical documents and drawings Willingness to follow safety guidelines at all times Speak and read in English Good understanding of basic math Good physical condition and endurance Experienced in trim, framing & tile is a plus Experience in laying & cutting stairs and composite decking materials is a plus Ability to work well with co-workers is a must. The candidate should be self-directed and personally disciplined in their work. This is a non-union, full-time, year-round, W-2 position with overtime occasionally required.
