Your recruiter will provide the most up-to-date details during the hiring process.How you'll make an impact in this roleAscension St. Vincent is looking for an Internal Medicine Physician to serve the Jennings County community.Position Highlights:Join practice of 4 physicians and 4 APPs serving adult patients within Jennings CountySchedule is Monday - Friday within the primary care clinicOn-call requirements include 1 in 4 weekend shifts at Ascension St. Vincent Jennings Critical Access Hospital, which is comprised of 18 beds and 4 swing bedsRounding is once every 24 hour period and physician must be available by phone for the remainder of the shiftResponsibilities:Provide medical services to patients in an assigned area.Evaluate and treat patients with appropriate medical diagnostic and treatment skills. Coordinate discharge planning with case management.Recommend, participate in, and work to ensure the success of efforts to improve cost effectiveness and quality of care provided to patients.Accept patient referrals from other physicians.
