Associate Territory Manager

Job Overview The Associate Territory Manager (ATM) is a high-energy, entry-level role designed for individuals seeking a career path in technical sales and engineering. As an "apprentice" to the Sales team, you will provide critical operational support for multiple Territory Managers, handling the logistical, administrative, and initial customer outreach tasks that keep the sales cycle moving. This role is the first step in a defined career ladder: Associate Territory Manager à Territory Manager à Sales Engineer. Duties The ATM focuses on three core pillars: Quoting Support, Logistics/Operations, and Proactive Customer Engagement Quoting & Technical Support Generate Simple Quotes: Handle straightforward inquiries using established price lists and vendor coordination. Complex Quote Assistance: Support Territory Managers and Sales Engineers by drafting portions of complex system quotes. Quote Maintenance: Update existing quotes to confirm current pricing, lead times, and delivery dates. Change Orders: Manage the documentation and entry of change orders, specifically for system controls. Logistics & Project Coordination Supplies & Logistics: Work with vendors and carriers to ensure supplies and equipment arrive at client sites according to project timelines. Shipping Compliance: Track and implement specific client shipping guidelines to ensure seamless delivery. Data Accuracy: Ensure the "OneForm" and other job-specific details are complete and accurate before moving to the project management stage. Customer Reach-Out & Sales Support Client Check-ins: Perform proactive outreach to existing clients to identify upcoming projects or immediate filter needs. CRM Management: Maintain high data integrity by updating contact information and opportunity status within the CRM. Inside Sales Support: Assist in processing orders for consumable products and packaged equipment. Skills Education: 4-year college degree preferred; a focus on Business, Engineering, or a technical field is a plus. Communication: Excellent verbal and written skills; comfortable making outbound calls and participating in video meetings. Organization: Must be highly detail-oriented and capable of managing tasks for multiple managers simultaneously. Technical Proficiency: Competency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) is required; experience with CRM or ERP systems is a significant advantage.
