Senior Quality Engineer

Primary Duties & ResponsibilitiesProgram manage the ISO Internal audit program for SiC, LLC USA operationsOrganize and perform ISO Internal audit-related and GRR metrology alignment program activities to maintain and improve our processes, metrology systems and related documentation.Work with cross-functional teams on customer quality complaints and returns then track or sometimes lead team efforts to improve systems, procedures and quality levels.Facilitate Corrective Action process using appropriate quality methods such as 8D, 5-why root cause analysis, for the prevention of recurrence of identified problems.Interact with customers on quality management issues.Review ISO documents, ISO standards and specifications for compliance to customer requirements and government regulationsPerform and respond to ISO and quality audits. Facilitate corrective action and process improvements based upon the audit results.Mentor new internal auditorsAssist production and engineering personnel to ensure delivery of quality products.Help to maintain an effective quality system, developing and implementing quality control improvements and procedures.Support corporate-wide quality initiatives and projects and the application of quality tools and methods, such as FMEA and SPC.Assist in the qualification of new or changed processes through our QRB process.Education & ExperienceMinimum 5+ yrs. experience in Quality Engineering or similar job functions.3-5 years of experience in semiconductor field or manufacturing.BS in mathematics, statistics, physics, chemistry, material science, engineering, or equivalent.ASQ certified quality engineer or Six Sigma Black belt certification is desirable.SkillsAuditing knowledge including ISO 9001 & ISO 14001. CQA preferred.Problem solving. Able to find and remove root cause for individual and complex quality problems.Understanding of, and ability to develop quality system elements (process and procedures for auditing, corrective and preventive actions, etc...).Sound judgment in selecting appropriate methods and techniques to address complex problems and finding solutions.Experience in SPC, Six Sigma, Lean, and TQM techniques. CQE preferred.Strong computer skills and written and verbal communication skills.To conform to U.S. Government export regulations (ITAR), applicant must be a U.S. person, lawful permanent resident of the U.S., protected individual as defined by 8.
