QA + Support Engineer
Location: Remote, with occasional travel (~4x/yr) to Austin or Birmingham.Type: Full-timeCompensation: Competitive compensation + milestone-based bonusesAbout Condoit: Condoit is the system of record for electrical distribution infrastructure. Our software platform creates efficiency and customer loyalty for electrical contractors, clarity and simplicity for electricians, and safe and reliable electrical systems for facility managers and property owners.About the Role: We're looking for an engineer who can own the quality of our product end to end and be the technical bridge to our customers. This is two jobs that fit naturally together: making sure what we ship works, and helping the people who use it succeed. You'll run our manual QA today, build the automation that scales it tomorrow, and field the technical customer requests that need an engineer's hands. If you like owning outcomes rather than tickets, moving fast without breaking trust, and seeing the direct impact of your work on real users, you'll do well here. This is a high-ownership role on a small team. You won't be handed a rigid process to follow — you'll be expected to build and improve it.What you’ll do:Run and own QA. Plan and execute manual testing across web and mobile, catch regressions before customers do, and be the last line of defense on every release.Build the automation. Stand up and grow an automated test suite — integration, end-to-end, and regression coverage — so the team can ship faster with confidence. Take our QA program from "careful" to genuinely best-in-class.Be the technical support engineer. Field the customer requests that require real technical depth: reproducing and squaring away bugs, helping customers with data import and export, and untangling the issues that frontline support can't. Turn what you learn from customers back into better tests and a better product.Close the loop. Partner closely with engineering and product — file precise, reproducible reports, push for fixes, and help decide what "good enough to ship" means. What you bring4+ years in QA at a mature software organization, where you learned what a high bar for quality actually looks like and what disciplined engineering practice feels like at scale. Both sides of QA: strong manual testing instincts and the ability to write and maintain automated tests (e.g., Cypress, Playwright, Selenium, or similar).A self-starting, find-a-way disposition. You spot what needs doing and do it without waiting to be told. You're comfortable with the wide, shifting scope of an early-stage company and you take initiative to raise the bar.Strong technical troubleshooting skills and the customer empathy to be genuinely helpful — you can talk to a customer, diagnose the real problem, and resolve it.Clear written communication. Your bug reports, runbooks, and customer responses are precise and easy to act on, and you work well with customers.Bonus pointsExperience building a QA function or test automation from the ground up.Familiarity with APIs, databases/postgreSQL, and reading logs to diagnose issues.Comfort working in or around a TypeScript/JavaScript and mobile codebase.Exposure to the construction, electrical, energy, or hardware-adjacent industries.******Apply: Email your resume or LinkedIn URL to apply@condoit.io with subject: QA+Support Engineer.
